Epilepsy

Epilepsy is a chronic condition characterized by recurrent unprovoked seizures. A person is diagnosed with epilepsy when they have two unprovoked seizures that are not caused by a known, reversible medical condition, such as alcohol withdrawal or extremely low blood sugar.
